If you have a memory of your pet that you would like to share, please send a photo and short story of you pet to yourpets@gladvets.com

Lucky was born July 4, 1995 and passed November 1, 2011. She was a registered Border Collie. Her registered name is McLean's Luck, but was known to us as Luckydog, Cubby McGrew, Pleena or Doug. Don't ask why... we don't know how we come up with half the names we've given our pets! We have so many great memories of her. We are beginning to share with each other so many that we'd forgotten. What a girl! We miss her, will always love the "person" she was and what joy she brought to our lives.
Sissy Erin McCuen found my son at his bus stop many years ago, running the streets for a long while. She was then Adopted by our family in 2007. In 2010 in March we lost our home and could not bring her to the apartments to where we reside, due to her breed (American Staffordshire). I had to make a hard choice, but her blindness and bad hips helped me decide, because she was snapping at every little shadow in which she has never hurt anyone or any animal. She has lived the good spoiled life till the end. I miss her very much and not a day goes by that I think of her and cry. We miss you Sissy.
Cindy (Mar. 1999 - April 2011)
She was a great dog. Loved her human family alot, the little boy was her favorite. She did her part when ever she could, and always aimed to please. She will be missed.

MAVERICK JAEGER
Dec. 22, 2000 – Nov. 12, 2010
The only place to begin Maverick's story is by talking about his limitless energy. It's safe to say that Maverick was an extrovert, gaining more and more energy with each new person he encountered. He did not eat his food; he devoured it. He did not walk up the stairs; he bounded up them. He did not greet others at the door; he welcomed them in with kisses and nuzzling. The sheer amount of energy that our friend contained within his being certainly tested our patience at times, but he always seemed to have good intentions. He truly loved others, and so we could never fault him for literally sticking his nose into other people's business. He was a wonderful playmate and at times a gentle and caring companion.
Maverick lived a full life of ten years before his health quickly declined, and he was put to rest on November 12, 2010.
Cancer took Maverick in the end, but those that knew him can't help but wonder if he simply ran out of energy.

This is Princess Jazmine, AKA Squirrelly Shirley, AKA Spazy Jazzy. Three years ago she became a resident at our clinic after she was hit by a car. With no luck in finding her owners she was allowed to recover from a fractured pelvis and in doing so won the hearts of the entire staff. She was allowed to stay on and earn her keep by serving as a blood donor. In doing so she helped save the lives of other beloved family pets. She loved being helpful and never once complained. Last year she was struck with a sudden paralysis and severe pain in her hind quarters. A blood clot was cutting off blood flow to her rear legs. Due to the quick action of the doctors & staff she did recover but was diagnosed with a condition called Cardiomyopathy. She was put on medication and until last week (8/10/2010) she was doing very well. Then she threw another clot. Her condition had gotten worse and after several attempts to save her, we, as her family, had to make the decision to end her suffering. She will be missed by all. We love you Jazzy

Princess was the first pet I ever owned. She loved everything, and could brighten anyone's day. I would come home from school, always welcomed by her barks and wiggly tail. Even when she got sick with her extra-small liver, she still didn't let it show. It wasn't until 2008 that we finally lost her, but she passed in her sleep where she always wanted to be- in our arms. I will never forget her smile, her love of life, and stealing my Nonny's dentures. I love you Princess, and miss you everyday. July 20, 1998- December 14, 2008
