List of Services

Here at Gladstone Animal Clinic we are a fully functional clinic and hospital with many available services and procedures.  Below is a list of our capabilities and services offered, if there is something you need that is not listed please call 816-436-1100 to see if we can help you. 

Preventative Care and Treatment

  • Physical Examinations
  • Health Certificates
  • Microchipping
  • Nutritional Counseling
  • Vaccinations
  • Parasite Control (including Heartworm screening and treatment)
  • Exotic Animal Care and Treatment (including birds, reptiles, small mammals, etc.)
  • An Extensive In-House Pharmacy
  • Weight Control Counseling (use of prescription diets and Slentrol program guidance)
  • Behavioral Issues
  • Dental Care (including Ultrasonic dental scaling, extractions, polishing, and prevention techniques against tooth and periodontal diseases)
  • Reproduction (Artificial insemination, Progesterone & Brucellosis testing, vaginal smears, breeding & whelping assistance)

Diagnostic Procedures

  • Full Service Laboratory (providing the most up-to-date hematology, microbiology, parasitology, cytology, and blood chemistry diagnostics--including pre-surgical blood screening)
  • Radiology (including OFA screenings, and access to radiographic reviews by Board Certified Radiologists)
  • Electrocardiographs (with access ECG reviews by Board Certified Cardiologists)

Surgical Procedures

  • Spay and neutering
  • Declawing
  • Ear Cropping (by consultation appointment only, please)
  • C-Sections as needed
  • Exotic Animal surgeries (Spaying and neutering, as well as most any other surgical procedure)
  • Ophthalmology (including entropion repair, "cherry eye", and other eye maladies)
  • Soft Tissue Surgeries (exploratories, laceration repair, abdominal surgery, etc.)
  • Limited Orthopedics (certain fracture repairs, luxating patella repair, FHO, call to schedule consultations.)
    *The modern surgical suite is fully equipped with monitoring and support equipment including gas anaesthesia machines, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitoring, and ECG's.  Sterile techniques are utilized for the safety of our patients.  Intensive care provides support for serious hospitalized cases, including incubators, oxygen chambers, and full IV pumps and blood transfusion equipment.*

Pet Foods and Supplies

    For your convenience and your pet's health and happiness, our clinic carries a selection of the following:

  • Prescription diets and nutritional supplements
  • Flea control products for pet, home, and yard
  • Heartworm preventatives
  • Health supplies
  • Shampoos & Conditioners

Special Services

  • Boarding is available at the clinic with a complimentary bath.  All pets are exercised several times daily.  For your pet's protection, we require all vaccinations to be current.
  • Due to our association with the Emergency Clinic, we can offer 24-hour care with transferring of cases to the ER for overnight monitoring.
  • For you and your pet's comfort we offer separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs.
  • Obedience Training is available in the basement of our building by Dan Miles at Miles and Miles Dog Training.  This is an individually owned business not affiliated with Gladstone Animal Clinic, LLC.
