Dr. Winkie was raised in Kansas City, Missouri and attended Park Hill High School. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Missouri State University in Modern and Classical Languages, with a focus on Spanish. Dr. Winkie received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia.
Dr. Winkie is currently a member of the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association, Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Winkie has always enjoyed working with dogs and cats but has an extra interest in working with exotics including ferrets, rabbits, rodents, and reptiles.
Dr. Winkie currently resides in Kansas City, MO with her husband, dog, and rabbit. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.
