Matthew Carr, DVM, MPH
Dr. Carr was born and raised in Liberal, Kansas, where he graduated from Liberal High School. He went on to attend Kansas State University, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture in 2003. Dr. Carr continued his education at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2007. In 2017, he also earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Iowa.
Dr. Carr is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, and the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association. He has a strong interest in exotic pets- including ferrets, rabbits, rodents, and reptiles-and enjoys the variety they bring to veterinary medicine. He’s also passionate about animal behavior and takes time to ensure every pet feels calm and comfortable during their visit. With his background in public health, Dr. Carr provides valuable guidance on preventing diseases that can affect both pets and their families. At home in Kansas City, Dr. Carr enjoys life with his wife, their two sons, and their dogs, Cruella and Ralph.
